Recurring events
A series is one object, not fifty invites.
Set the pattern once. Move the Thursday session by an hour six weeks in and every attendee's calendar can receive the series update without a new standalone event for each occurrence. Behavior depends on the attendee's calendar provider.

Patterns
Four ways to repeat.
Standard patterns cover most series; custom handles the rest without a workaround.
Daily
Every day, or weekdays only
Onboarding sprints, daily standups, a week-long training block.
Weekly
One or several days a week
Office hours, weekly clinics, a recurring class.
Monthly
By date or by weekday
The 15th, or the third Tuesday — both behave correctly across month lengths.
Custom
Your own interval
Every third Friday, quarterly reviews, an irregular set of dates.
Updates and cancellation
Review one update for the event series.
Series changes can be sent as an update to the existing Event. How each change appears depends on the attendee's calendar client and provider settings.
- Move a single occurrence or the whole series
- Cancel one date without canceling the series
- Cancel the series and clear every future occurrence
- Add invitees mid-series — they receive remaining occurrences only
- Change the description without disturbing the RSVP state

What recurrence patterns are supported?
Daily, weekly, monthly and custom. Monthly works by date or by weekday, so both the 15th and the third Tuesday behave correctly across months of different lengths. Custom covers intervals such as every third Friday or an irregular set of dates.
Can I move one occurrence without moving the series?
Yes. A single occurrence can be moved or canceled on its own, or the change can be applied to the whole series. Canceling the series clears every future occurrence. RSVP state is preserved through a description change.
What happens to someone added halfway through a series?
They receive the remaining occurrences only, not the ones that have already passed.
Does a series use one invitation credit or one per occurrence?
Usage is shown before an update or a send is approved, so the cost of a series is visible before it goes out rather than discovered afterwards.
