Calendar invitations · Available
The invite lands in the inbox and blocks the time.
A calendar invitation is more than an email about an event. It carries the event details into the calendar an attendee already uses, with an RSVP response that can come back to you.
Seed uses a connected Google or Microsoft calendar. Send from your own verified domain with Bloomod SMTP.

Providers
Four calendars. One invite.
Bloomod prepares calendar invitations for major providers. Placement, response reporting and update behavior still depend on each attendee's calendar client and provider settings.
| Provider | Invite delivery | Calendar placement | RSVP reporting | Updates |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Calendar | Provider-managed | Settings-dependent | Client-dependent | Client-dependent |
| Outlook | Provider-managed | Settings-dependent | Client-dependent | Client-dependent |
| Microsoft 365 | Provider-managed | Settings-dependent | Client-dependent | Client-dependent |
| Apple Calendar | Provider-managed | Settings-dependent | Client-dependent | Client-dependent |
Behavior depends on the attendee's client and provider settings. Some clients report RSVP state partially or not at all. Delivery does not guarantee inbox placement or calendar acceptance.
Invite types
Four shapes of invitation.
One-time event
A single date and time sent to verified attendees — a launch, a filing deadline, an open house.
In-person event
A venue address carried in the invitation, so the location sits next to the date and time in every calendar.
Meeting invitation
One-to-one or small group, with a location or meeting link.
Webinar invitation
One-to-many at volume, where the attendee list is verified and the send is paced through a queue.

Which calendars do attendees receive invitations in?
You connect a Google or Microsoft calendar to send from. Attendees receive the invitation in whatever calendar they already use, including Google Calendar, Outlook, Microsoft 365 and Apple Calendar, because it is sent as a real calendar event rather than an email about one.
What is the difference between a calendar invitation and a confirmation email?
A confirmation email sits in an inbox and is read once. A calendar invitation puts the event into the attendee's calendar, holds the time, carries the joining link or venue address where they will look for it on the day, and can send an RSVP response back to you.
Can I see an invitation before it goes out?
Yes. The send preview shows what will be sent, to how many attendees, and what it will use from your allowance, before anything leaves. Invitations go only to attendees who have confirmed their email address.
What happens if I change the event after sending?
Changes are sent as an update to the existing event rather than as a second invitation, so an attendee's calendar entry moves instead of duplicating. How the update is displayed depends on the attendee's calendar provider and client.
